Why is the city helping illegals rather then deporting them?
Because the U.S. government is run by corporations who would rather have cheap labor than abide by laws. And when these corporations talk, the government listens and ignores its own laws because the corporations appoint the government.
Easy, Peasy.
Because no one other than a very very very certain few have really been here that long. I am a product of illegal immigration, and I thank my ancestors everyday for it.
Persons complaining about illegal aliens in NYC and how "corporations" are behind them need to open their eyes.
All sorts of private persons and businesses are happy to take advantage of "illegals" but then turn around and run they mouth.
Just who do you think is out there in all kinds of weather delivering the take out and other things to your door? I swear Manhattan and many parts of NYC must have either the laziest population or they have all suddenly gone lame. Everyone wants things delivered even if the shop or restaurant is just down the street. People act like going to physically pick up a pizza or whatever will kill them.
Then there are the scores who employ domestic services, landscaping, child minding and whatever services that they are well aware are being done by illegals.
Peeps do this because the labour is cheap and exploitable. Any good business person or housekeeper will tell you when an estimate comes in *way* below normal costs and or person is willing to work for substantially less than market rate something is up. But what you don't know does not hurt you, but that only works for the employers. The "workers" are subject to all kinds of abuses an American wouldn't put up with.
You'd be surprised how many nannies and maids work weeks or even months without being paid in whole or part what is owed them. If they make too much noise "Miss Hilly" will make subtle hints about contacting immigration.
