In 2011, 40 percent of pregnancies ended in abortion in the five boroughs. Among blacks it was about 60 percent.

The national figure, for the latest year data is available, is around 20%. That means New Yorkers abort at about twice the national rate.

The NYC figure exceeds the record national figure (36.4% in 1984) and even the Russian figure (38.5% for 2011).

Why is this?

Surely it isn't a lack of comprehensive sex ed or access to contraception. According to the New York City Department of Education, "condoms are also available free of cost to students in health resource rooms in high schools".

Default The legacy of the whigs

NY Times can't afford to go rogue and expose the power players in NY but Abortion is central to the social program of ruling class NY. This social program started here and filtered out to the rest of the western world. Since the days of Margaret Sanger being the face of Rockefeller sponsored eugenics programs abortion is ipso facto a policy any politician must support if they expect party funds for their campaign. NY has always been the cultural center of sexual degeneracy as a philosophy of freedom. It is deeply ingrained in ruling class liberal WASP-Judeo culture that emerged from the protestant whiggish English .

Even people like Al Sharpton fully supports black genocide and he makes this compromise to ensure ruling class money fills his coffers. When people look back on these times centuries from now they will not be struck by the technology but by the striking moral decline with a shocking lack of resistance. This lack of resistance is the power of subverting the individual to their own passions- the art of this subversion was largely honed here in whiggish NY. Thousands of babies murdered everyday, the destruction of social roles into matriarchal chaos - all socially engineered by ruling class media which has a strong hold on the suburban and inner-city slum social-ethnic groups.

Many do, but many also do not. The problem with discussing this is that we're considering it in a vacuum versus comparable locations. What is the abortion rate in Boston, or DC, or Atlanta, or Houston, or Detroit, or Seattle? It's relatively uninteresting to discuss the difference in abortion rates between NYC and the entire country, as I am not at all surprised that abortion rates are much lower in the suburbs (many more pregnancies are "planned" as families are more established).*

*Actually it would be far more interesting to see an abortion rate as a percentage of unplanned pregnancies rather than an abortion rate as a percentage of total pregnancies (with the assumption that a near-zero percentage of abortions are of planned pregnancies). That might eliminate the difference entirely.

One interesting thing I learned from 5 minutes of reading on this subject is that states have the option to report abortion data. California chooses not to report so there is no data from California.

Because a lot of careless people now an days like to have sex like animals. Decades ago people wouldnt have sex until marriage, now it is considered normal to lose your virginity at the age of 15.
