Ny-er's just like to b*tch an moan about the weather. In July it's too hot , in winter its too cold .
Remember you CHOOSE to live in a 4 season climate, so deal with whatever mother nature brings here

I don't think that every single person living in NYC actually choose to live here. But you are right that one needs to deal with whatever weather comes. On the other hand, this is record breaking cold weather (which what we had early this morning) and usually people in NYC aren't worried about hypothermia caused by their face is exposed to cold air which is currently the case.

It feels very cold today because of the wind. I recall on occasion, we've had lows of -2, -1, 0 degrees in the early morning. School was not closed.

I prefer 100 times more record cold to record hot, like 108F.

It was so cold today, that I saw wall street bankers with their hands in their own pockets.

It also sound like a smaller, less expensive brand of wintery or outdoor wear.
