Hey Gemini, do you prefer SA to PAA? Are you waiting on both?

What is the career track for SA? getting Associate SA for a nice bump, but then what? Administrative SA doesn't give a salary increase. I am genuinely curious.

I know one reason for a lot of hiring of SAs off this list is because they are merging HRA and DHS and there are a lot of openings to fill in DSS.

Associate SA is as good as you can do as an underling. You would have to take a supervisory or managerial position after ASA. I know the upper salary range for ASA is $94k, but I haven't seen any making anywhere near that as a ASA at my agency, most are earning 70s. For the non-managerial Admin AS, I know they offer a small $2500 salary bump if you're called from the promo list if you were a ASA beforehand. Managerial Admin SA can make well over $100k.

That's what I figured. The best title imo is computer associate. They make 10k over what SAs make and you don't even have to do anything with IT/computers since its just a city title.

Agreed, but you need 24 college credits in computers for that. I don't have the 24 credits unfortunately. May be worthwhile for me to go back to school just for the extra computer classes for that title
