ALso to answer JackiBoys question, if you have an A3 restriction thats not good enough, you need to have the medical examination done in order to get the K (intrastate driving) restriction removed. Basically you cant have any restrictions. If you dont get the Medical Exam done by your doc before the test, you can get it done after and just bring the certificate to the DMV and they'll remove the K restrictions, My permit says Class B, N endorsement and restrictions:NONE thats what you need when its all said and done to start the DSNY training. The medical exam, they should have sent you a copy with the packet you got explaining the physical, also one copy comes with a brand new CDL book. The physical is a joke my doc flew through it and then u show the DMV, they copy down your doctors license number and the expiration date and the K restriction is removed. A3 restriction just means you havent had the medical exam done yet and you'll get it removed when you do. Sanitation does a 100% more thorough medical exam. The DOT one tested urine for protein levels and ****, not even drugs. Sanitation we're gonna be practically cavity searched and interrogated to pass theirs.

Not to mention the many layers of "surveilance",I guess that applies when you get on the job. For example if you call in sick you beter stay home because they might ring your bell to check up on you. There is unlimited sick days, but as a new hire you don't want to abuse it,you have to come to work unless your really sick.
MPrus, when you went to the DMV to take the general knowledge test again did you have to fill out another MV-44 form? Or did you just show the clerk your green ticket that showed that you failed the test the 1st time around.
What was the process after you passed the test the 2nd time? gave you an eye test, took your photo, did they give you your cdl permit there or in the mail?

Vantastic, Im really not sure I believe I had to show both the green card and fill out another form, unless maybe the form appeared because they saved it from the first test......not sure.
They give you the piece of paper temporary "interim" permit right there and the photo id comes in the mail weeks after I havent gotten mine yet.
