For the OTJ guys: what is deducted from your checks for medical? I know payday is weekly, but do they take the medical out every week or bi-weekly or monthly?
Just got hit with an 80% increase in my current job's health insurance so that kinda spurred me on to ask. DSNY certainly can't be anywhere close to what i have to pay now. And i'm only insuring myself.

Thanks for responses.

I'm not a lowlife scumbag foreman. So stop with all the tough talk. You guys act like a bunch of wash women

the twenty page booklet has to be returned with final processing. that's when they call you to let you know you have the job.

From this board it is #78X,they are calling up to #835. Your husband is around 1180 so he will get the letter next time they plan on hiring. Hopefully sooner than later. I don't believe they will only hire 200 for 2008. It is still too early to tell.

Thank you so much!

I heard that there is a large number of workers retiring this year. Hopefully this is true and they will need more than 200! I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will call another round really soon! Congrats again to everyone who got called!
