I, like many others I'm sure, have been a regular pot smoker for years. Can I expect to be drug tested this upcoming week? I stopped smoking once I saw the letter, but I'm sure 12 days isn't enough for me to be clean.

For me to even show up that week, I will most likely lose my current job. I would really hate to fail the test and have no job in the end.

Sucks I could be a Cokehead or Heroin addict and just stop for 2-4 days before and pass the test no problem, but weed just has to stay for a friggin month! I don't even drink alcohol, which would effect my performance a whole lot worse. But thats a whole other story.

Thanks for the help guys.
If you only indulge in cannibis occasionally...like every other month or so, you can flush it in 7-10 days. But if you're a perpetual puffer, a urine test will hang you even up to 3 months. But then again if you're really "devoted to the dubey" maybe this job ain't for you...I don't know. But don't waste your money on flushers, use diuretics like tea and plenty of waterloading...

Not only drugs but alcohol too. There is a sign they have been posting for years now that just keeps geting updated. It starts off as "three hundred..whatever sanitation workers have lost there jobs because using drugs and abusing alcohol, dont become a statistic for 200(enter year). Then it says if you use drugs...you have a problem. If you think you have a problem with alcohol you probably do. (or something like that..dont quote me)This is a fact of the job since the CDL came about. I.E. Dont do drugs and if you choose to go out drinking...wait till the day before your chart or a Saturday night. Other than that you are risking the "P" truck...and your job.

Welcome to the most replied and most read thread on this forum. I wish you the best of luck on your road test tomorrow. No reason to fear the "terminator" or any other road test examiner if you know what you are doing. Just relax and take your time. This is all a mental thing,if you have the right mindset coming in you will pass easily.

Anybody else who has been reading this thread and has never posted before don't be afraid to do so. If you have any questions just ask,you will get more support in here than anywhere else.

Thanks man, yea its not that im really worried... after all the training at FBF and all the driving around in Brooklyn, !@#$ing Neptune Ave made me ready for anything. I'm just kinda tryin to get a better idea of what they ask of you in the Bronx and what the streets are like just little things

but i did just remember somthin i have a question about... when your backing and parking and a car is about to pass you have to stop, otherwise its a dangers action right? so then what you just continue after the car passes? just somthin i was confused about and with my luck its gunna happen to me on the test

Guys,I read the other day that the new city budget will be adopted in June. I guess that's when they will finalize the hiring classes or July & August. 'm sure they might have a good idea of what's going to happen at orientation, so maybe the guys going now can ask ans see what the buzz is. Thanks in advance and good luck to all.
