how exactly do the pensions work?you have to put in $30/40 a week?your pension is guaranteed even if the city decides to alter it in any way with a new contract?could it fall the same fate as social security or is it set in stone?

Since there's alot of people on this forum asking about the DSNY pay scale, looking back at the previous posts I noticed the following:
1st year base pay p/wk b4 incentives = $574.71 which equals $30k annual
3rd year base pay p/wk b4 incentives = $789.79 which equals $42k annual
4th year base pay p/wk b4 incentives = $829.31 which equals $43k annual
Under the new contract, those numbers don't look accurate because the base pay only increases by $1000 from year 3 to year 4 and then from year 4 to year 5 it's suppose to jump to $67,141? Doesn't make sense.
My question is what does the "base" pay scale look like under the new contract for the first five years? So can someone fill in the blanks:
1st year = $30k
2nd year = ?
3rd year = ?
4th year = ?
5th year = $67,141
