How does it work if someone apeals the medical and wins with a lower # before the July class begins do they bump the last guy in line until august or do they put this person in august. My brother failed (we believe for his hearing and he went to get a hearing aid so he should pass this time) he has a lower #2x so we were woundering!

We went through the orientation and medicals already, some even trained at floyd bennett field for their cdl licenses. From the people they called, they got 200 workers. Like one out of every four people make it through (Failed Medical, proff of residency, not interested...etc...) What list number are you?

Just make sure you notify HR before leaving and give them a temp. Number where they can reach you. Good luck and have fun on your vacation because it will be the last one in the next 2 years. LOL

Sanitation gives vacations. I think they start with 15 days, which is 3 weeks. By the time we're at 5 1/2 years we'll be getting 5 weeks paid vacation per year....

As far as I heard, you can't appeal until after they reach your list number. Which causes you to get skipped. After that you go through the appeal process, when they call again, then if you win the appeal, you get on.
