Hello...I need help!!! Im stressed. I have completed medical permit classes etc. This is the home stretch - the cdl road test...and yes I have to take it in the BRONX. I have heard about the terminator, cracks in the road, a lot of failures...etc. This sucks...I live in Staten Island and I have to go to the Bronx to take the test. Can some one out there - Please help me? I already feel like I am going to get the Terminator, freak out, and make a stupid mistake. I have come so far - I want to pass!!! HELP??? John D
Calm down. He isnt always there and if he is there, the name terminator is misleading. Its not like he is failing 90%. He failed me and 1 other kid out of 7 of us. And i prolly didnt deserve to pass b/c i let my nerves get the better of me.

yea man hes definitely right everyone that failed pretty much deserved to well me atleast... same here with my nerves and i didnt take my time..... you'll have no problem if you know what your doing... the examiners are fare its not like there out to get you (i just like to blame them sometimes).... like moe said they want you to fail yourself and if you let your nerves get in the way thats wuts gunna happen.... dont get all stressed out thats the worst thing to do trust me on that!!!! has to be the number one reason i failed.... just have confidence in your self and most of all relax dont let it or them get to you this is your test you kno think of it that way your in control.... ive started to think of it like that... im doin this for me im paying for this im the @!#*ing BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am #26X I called HR today and was told they are in the 240's and the july class is still open. Then she tells me and I quote " we may get to the 260's so answer all phone calls"
I also took my road test in the Bronx. The Terminator guy is not as bad as everyone is making him out to be. I passed but I know I made mistakes that he didn't add points for. I am convinced that if you show this guy that you are compitent and you don't get too nervous you will pass. Also, he comes off like ex-military so I said yes sir every time he gave me an instruction. I really think that helped. one last tip when I was doing my parking I get like what seemed like a hundred cars passing on my left so of course I stopped and waited but the cars kept coming so I got and checked the back a second time. He says to me " you shouldn't have to check the back 2 times" I was respectful and just told him I wanted to make sure there was nothing behind the truck " SIR " he didn't add no points for parking or backing... Try to be CALM and show the guy RESPECT
Yea i think you guys that are going for Roadtests are getting a little to crazy for no reason ... If you looked over your booklets they gave you , and paid attention to Moe & Company then you should not have a problem on your roadtest... Just think of it as you are a Car Salesman trying to sale someone a car ... Instead you are Trying to get the instructor to believe that you know what your doing ... Be in control... You'll be fine .....

very true.... all that SIR stuff went out the window with me when it came time to take the test, too much was going on in my head.... but great point man showing them respect will definitely help.... having something like that said to me would have freaked me out, made me think i did something wrong even though i knew i had reason to check it again.... you answered him clearly, confidently, and showed him respect.. he cant argue with that......
