GUYS I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION:

Can DSNY see and use applications to other city agencies such as NYPD and your disqualifications to such other agencies?

Like lets say someone admitted to prior drug use in NYPD application process (which BTW is the stupidest thing to do) and they tell DSNY he never did any drugs....is it possible for them to find out? Mind you, this guy only used pot and stopped using it 6 years ago.

It's a possibility. DCAS (Department of Citywide Administrative Services) handles the background check for DSNY as well as FDNY & NYPD. It's the same 20 page booklet that you fill out for all of them.

When you fill it one of these booklets, ALWAYS make a copy for yourself after you have filled it out and of course before you submit it, so you can fill out any future employment questionnaires the same way and you have that consistency.

I had a quick question. If you're own probation w/ DSNY and you get called by a law enforcement agency to go through their background investigation and that agency's BI's come down to your garage to speak to your supervisor and obtain certain records as far as your lateness & attendance records, can DSNY fire you for that since you're still on probation?
