An envelope means a side job, say a contractor wants to get rid of some garbe but doesn't want to pay a private sanitation to pick it up. He know the supervisor on duty and arranges for adsny to come pick it up. That would be you. If a supervisor asks you to do something and you tell him to put it on your 350 and he doesn't you can not get in trouble for refusing an order.now if you go and do it without him writing it and you get caught its on you and your partner.

ohh ok so basically if he said to do it and didnt write it up you can refuse to do it because its not written on your 350 which, if you were to do it and its not written, can make it seem like your doing side jobs without permission? and you can get in trouble but as long as he puts it down on your 350 you wont get in trouble for doing it, but now do you have to do it since its written and if your dont are in trouble?
lol when u said envelope i was pretty sure u didnt mean delivering it lol
by the way thanks just trying to figure out what really goes on

If it's an envelope the supervisor wont write it on your card because he is not going to risk his job.

Now FROM MY EXPERIENCE ONLY THIS WEEK.....Just about everyday people will approach you with money, throw money in the truck or leave it on the seat. Sometimes you don't realize it until they're already gone. I just refuse it, but I see a lot of people don't....So it's your choice if you want to risk it all for $50 or whatnot. I don't.

No bashing going on

Listen there is no bashing going on. My point is that how can a person with a month on the job still on thirty days asnwer each and every question thats posted on this forum. He or she may have knowledge of the job but come on nowm please, There are question posted here that anyone can answer of course but sometime the question is directed to people that have some kind of time and have experienced at the least some of things a newbie would never know. When you guys come into snow for example...time to put on plows...not the same as when you were taught at FBF. FBF is great but they teach you the proper way to do things but time is money for this department just like corprate and somethings just fly out the window. You will see as time goes on and time fly's. Listen gentlemen and ladies be safe know what your exact job is and if in doubt ask questions, Even supers and chiefs may not know the answer (and i have seen that). Dont count on one answer and dont keep asking till you hear the answer you want.

Thats the correct approach, $50 is not worth it.

Been on this forum since march and for the most part you have all been pointed in the right direction. Wish someone had thought to do a forum for my test, we had to learn the hard way.
