Does anyone know what number round 2 physical (6063) is going up to? Thanks in advance!!
I am guessing that is going to go up to 6856,that is the last number with a score of 97.50. I have no idea why they plan on doing the 2nd round of the physical when the list barely moved this year(#485). This should be the last round of physical testing for this list.
I dont know why they are doing this. It isn't like we are going thru the list any faster or reason to believe that there going to be a sudden calling for Sanitation Workers. Maybe they just need the money or something.
i agree i think it all bullsh** why would the call more people for physical
when they only got up to not even 500. Its all for the money.
Very stupid
Well...I got my letter for round 2 today and regardless of the skepticism, Im thrilllllled! I have a relative in for a while now and he said theres going to be alot of retirees between dec this year and march of next... could explain why they called more

Unfortunately I hate to break it to you pretty much noone retires on this job. The amount they would make right now would force them to get a second job, so if thats the case they stay keep their seniority have a great day while not having to drive a school bus or work at home depot. The retirements usually occur between 25 and 30 years on the job not 20.
They are doing this just to make sure they have enough canidates ready for the job when the time comes. I was on the old list with a number of 10,959 and i went for the physical and they hired i belive in the 7,000's off the old list. Next year is a new year some may retire, some may lose there job for turning up dirty, some may quit cause of the scheduleing, and some fired for other reasons. Alot of people are taking the job now than years past. Time will tell on what the hiring needs are.

How did you find out what number or exam score they are going to?

I took an uneducated guess. I am probably not that far off though. No higher than #7,000. They may round it off by score or by list number. They give the physical exam during 1 months time. Anyways it will be posted up on the DSNY website once they update it.
