I hope it is a rumor but this was something that has been said for a while .But that being said a slow down now will not help layoffs in the spring .So if your garage is having a slow down theres another reason for it .Plus with all the loses in the stock market alot of guys are no longer looking at retiring .I had a guy from my garage come up to me last week and said Chris i'm not going to retire in Dec as planed and I said Why he told me he just lost 32k and he is going to say on for 2 more years .

Plans are already put forth by each city agency. They must submit the first round of cuts in case the budget gap for next year cannot be closed. It was in the paper today.
