Passed my physical, as others have said, it's really not that difficult. Am fully confident that they will eventually get around to calling my number thanks to RETIRED SANMAN'S insight. Just may take a while. Which is fine, gives me a chance to wrap up my Bachelor's degree.

Funny though how in today's job environment, being a Sanman sounds like a better career move than anything my four year degree may have to offer.

This thread rocks. Everything you ever wanted to know about being a Sanman but were afraid to ask. I can tell I'll be reading this thread for a looooong time to come.

Good luck to everyone hoping to get in.

You have to get your cdl permit first, class B is what you need, general knowledge, air brakes and take endorsment you will need. I got my license through a driving school so if you do that you will probably take it on a school bus and you will need passenger endorsement also for that. The general knowledge part is probably the toughest part but the other three are rather simple. Roadwars.com is a good website you can use to study and go to the dmv they have books that you can study from, hope this was helpful.

There are no cdl classes at fbf now. There are many private schools out there you can go to but they will cost anywhere from 600 to 1400. Since your list number is in the 700s you will be called in the next class. There isnt going to be a next class for a while so you have time to save up for the cdl class.

hey wait, if i were you i would call HR and ask them when ever there is another class will we offer more CDL classes. You can explain your situation. If i remember correctly usually when there is a new class usually we have cdl classes.
