I may or may not be on the job. I may be a 68 year old retired member. Or maybe just a groupie. It really doesn't matter. What matters is that what I and the other gentleman speak are facts. I don't go on threads about new developments in "SoBro" or pre-k kindergarten funding spouting mis-imformation. So if I see it, I speak up on it...

I would like to hear about how its like from somebody currently on the job. That's all. If you don't work for FDNY then you can't provide me with that insight. That's facts.

Like I said, I'm not gonna say if I am or not or what I do in real life in general. It doesn't matter. I know enough to know that specifically what Sobro and marilyn rail on about in terms of some sort of intentional discriminatory hiring, or nepotism in jumping over this color-blind civil service process is absolute nonsense. And that is all that matters. Anybody who cared to look into it for 5 minutes, or better yet, decided to try out for it would know this.

In terms of ball busting and off color remarks inside the firehouse, I've explained that a couple pages back. It totally happens. Nobody is denying that. And sometimes race is brought into it. From any side.

Am I wrong for wanting to just hear from the horse's mouth how it's really like? Smh

You can think whatever you want, but what you're wrong about is using the term "smh" as a grown man...

Whatever man. All I want to hear is how life is like for a current FDNY member. If you can't provide that, what is there to discuss? Otherwise it's just a plain case of diarrhea of the mouth.

I noticed that you locked the thread for a bit. Did it bother you that a couple guys came in here with contrarian yet reasonable views to what the overemotional flock was screaming about?

Bombero2811 appears to be avoiding this train wreck of a thread.
