The worst thing that's happened to Greenpoint are the influx of white trash faux metal bars with the over the hill 'I was a roadie once' bartenders and their washed up wannabe Trent Reznor groupie clientele still hung up on guys with tattoos like it's 1995.

In other words it's not the midwest that's moved into Greenpoint, it's Long Island.

haha - there's a decent mix of new genres in Greenpoint. That which you speak of is more in Bushwick / East Williamsburg.

Now Greenpoint, if only they can FU**ING find a way to obliterate all that pervasive barf inducing siding

HELLO, anybody know what a brick or stone is?

That may be true but neither Bushwick nor East Williamsburg has a Matchless.

Agreed, that's why I never go to Greenpoint, the architecture makes me want to cover Nassau Avenue in stomach juices

Makes sense to me. They want to be close to the city yet not to far from their families on Long Island. Not sure why that would make them traitors.
