What i find most disgusting about public restrooms is when ppl throw ass whiped toilet paper on the floor next to the bowl.

Sometimes the whole bathroom look like the aftermath of a scat session.

I just spent a few days in NYC riding bikes around all Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. I had no problem figuring out places to go when I had to. Toys R Us in Times Square was the only place where I got close to the danger zone because I foolishly expected a bathroom on each floor and my timing was off.

There are actually almost enough bathrooms, if you keep your eyes open.

For department stores, no need to ask, of course. It would be a cold day in hell before I'd purchase something just to use a bathroom.

By the way, if you're a local journalist, I'd be more interested in the infuriating disappearance of pay phones.

Who needs a pay phone nowadays? I imagine that there must be some fathomable emergency that you would need to use one in case your cell phone died on you - but how many times in your life is that going to happen

It's definitely possible. I have a pay-per-minute plan on my phone, and there were a few times when I forgot to top up, and needed to make a call.

NYC should pass a law requiring eating establishments that have a certain number of seats allow the public to use its bathrooms.
Of course you can walk into a hotel and use their bathroom. However, it helps if you are nicely dressed.

And I was under the impression that there is some minimum bathroom requirement for public venues like theaters and restaurants, no?

Dude, T-Mobile has a plan - unlimited talk, text and 1 GB of data for $50 a month.
