all that woman hadda do was either WAIT for the next train---fake them out that she was getting on with them....
or leave the station.
or ask them "you talkin to me ?"and punch the leader real hard in the face and ask "next?"
but truthfully this is a rare occurence.
Al Sharpton actually did come out and make a statement about the case saying he condemned it and would try to help the victim.
I was actually surprised by his remarks, when I read them, as I think this is the first time he's said anything like that.
Don't take me as being Pro-Al Sharpton, I'm not, but he did step up to the plate here though. So I'll give him his due.

It looks so. The Ricky Lake-audience-inspired "girls" were appearantly smiling and looked angry at the same time. The guy was just sitting thre, chatting like a naive anyone. When he got "hit" he just sat there. Fortunately not much of a real attack.

You sound as if you resent his speaking out about yet another racial/hate crime in Howard Beach...where the "Black kid" ended up in the hospital fighting for his life and where Black men have been murdered.
C'mon, there's definitely a double standard here, and I'm not talking about this incident in particular:
White kids beat black kids = front page news for weeks
Black kids beat white kids = page 25 of all local newspapers, if that
