also i would like to hear some feedback about the misconception of Canarsie being a ghetto.... 1 thing i have learned recently is that many Canarsie parents do not send they kids to there local schools and many of them can afford to send them to private by choice.
Anything worth seeing or doing in Canarsie? Any secret restaurant bargains?
May is exploration month for us and the only thing I know about Canarsie is that it is the last stop on the Canarsie line and it was where Ralph Kramden's mother-in-law lived.
People talk gentrify like it's a new thing, NYC has been through several in the past 20 yrs and Canarsie has changed it's tenants several times and gotten worse. In the 70s it was actually pretty nice until the late 80s when things start getting worse with the beginning of crack and cocaine trade.
