Man brutalizes women with hammer in Astoria apartment while they were sleeping | 7online.com

For those of you who live in street level apartments are you worried about such attack happening to you?
For everyone, do you usually leave your windows open and/or unlocked at night after you have gone to sleep?

The perp was ghetto trash. He was homeless and just released from prison. No reason for doing this.

I'm on the first floor and happy to have window gates. Having the gates doesn't sound so crazy now.

I read that he knew one of the victims so this most likely wasn't a random attack.
