Last night i went to see a concert at the BB King Blues club on 42 street.

After getting my tickets I walked up to the Olympic Diner on 8th Avenue near 49th street for something to eat before the show

On the way to the diner, on 8th between 46th-47th I was approached by a man who said to me he had a "Spanish woman" for me. Coming back from the diner to the club the same guy noticed me and tried to follow me again on the same block and the woman was calling out "hey man"

Has this been a common occurence lately? I knew 8th Ave long had this kind of activity but I would think the changes on the avenue (trendy bars, etc) have stopped this.

Any reports?

I didn't realize it reached as far north as 47th these days. Thought those trendy places washed it all away

It's not only at night either - I've been propositioned on the way down to the Port Authority at 11 in the morning.
