it does. but its been about 7 months and my log number is in the two digits although I don't have any preferences.
Is by lottery so if they pic you they will and you'll receive an email and if they don't they won't contact you. Is all about who the computer picks from what I have read. Good luck there is still a chance.
HI! I went to an interview and did well. I missed a pay stub but emailed it right away. Then they denied my application I tried to appeal it twice and no luck.( I had proof). You can not contact their office which wasn't much help but I guess it was not meant to be. My actual question is if you get chosen can you pick the bedroom units you want. I have 2 daughters and I meet the income requirements for a 3 bedroom. Can you pick what apartment you want?
my log number for park house apartment is 39,393 i was wondering is that log number is good enough for an interview because i really want to move out of my recent housing please help

It depends if you are in a preference group. If you have community board or disability or city employees preference they may pick your number but it is random. If you don't have a preference group they will not get to a number that high.

I have a question. Does the housing lottery rather pick someone with a low log number or someone with an outrageously high log number but meets 2 or more of the buildings preferences. For example my lot number is 95,000 but I live in the community board and I am a municipal worker. What do you think my chances of getting called are?

It honestly depends on luck. The initial picking is at random even with preferences. Some people may not be called.
Even better than that is being in a preference group. The groups will be listed on the ad that the city puts out.
The usual preference groups include vision impairment, hearing impairment, mobility impairment, community board residency, and city worker.
In addition, under a new de Blasio initiative, half of the community slots will go to working people who are living in homeless shelters.
So in a nutshell, your best bet is to get a low log number and also be in one of the preference groups.

Even with such an exaggerated high log number, if you have community board preference, you'll get called before someone with no preference does. They go to preference first, then they start at no preference, #1.
I have been invited for the interview and when I called them they asked me for my income bracket and they said that there is not availability for this bracket and we don´t need to do the interview. Is this normal?
