They might be poor in China but just before they leave they are schooled on how to milk the American system. I have read reports that there are newspapers in China that inform them on what to do when they get here. Oh, lets not forget the travel agencies that sell packages to pregnant mothers to come to the US to give birth here. Of course they appear poor but since they don't use American banks you can bet they are more wealthy than they report thereby qualifiying for services. It is also easy to hide all those gold nuggets I heard about. Heck, I witnessed a Chinese family that sure looked poor at a car dealership with a satchel full of money! Lots of our ancestors came here with nothing in their pockets and not speaking English but they worked dam hard, pulled themselves up out of poverty and lived honest lives!

These are all your stereotypes....There are plenty of hardworking honest tax paying Asians who are living and fulfilling the American dream. Which group has the largest or 2nd largest for students earning their bachelors? Do you see all of those Asian owned markets, restaurants, salons, laundromats, etc. Outside?

^ According to BEAKNUT, all that was handed to the Chinese, whereas his "American" ancestors worked hard for theirs and was entirely honest. Cheating taxes was nonexistent until the Chinese invented it when they came here.

I think its a good thing because i felt very safe walking in the area. They seem like down to earth people who just work and don't trouble people.
Either you're lying or you are mistaking Ave U with Kings Highway. Kings Highway is still mostly Jewish/Russian/Ukrainian. There are actually very few Asians there.

To be fair, N/Q line doesn't even exist (its the Q/B line). My best guess is he stopped at N line Kings Highway stop, which is a completely different neighborhood, about 25 blocks to the west of Q line Kings Highway train stop.

Places dominated by Asian immigrants have low crimes compare areas dominated by other minorities are typically unsafe and high in crime.

Why is that?

Schools dominated by Asians have better grades and higher graduation rates. Can anyone find a sh!tty school with majority Asian students?

Why is that?

Well depends on grade. The second grade scores in Chinatown are bad, but by the time they learn English in 5th grade they blow 99% of other schools out of the water.

The price in the area has not really changed a lot until a lot of Asians moving into the area starting 2000s. Now it is impossible for an average Italian family to afford a house there. A lot of old Italian property owners there are happy to sell their houses to Asians. Many make a million dollar profit or more. After sale, they tend to settle down to Florida, Long Island or wherever.
Say what? They all come over the VZ to Staten Island.
