Can anyone in queens(perferably in Elmhurst) tell me which internet provider is good?

My super told me the building has Time Warner Cable. How is TWC?

All depends on your Internet usage. If all you're going to be doing is looking at streaming video and browsing websites you don't need that much speed. I had Time Warner for 5 years and the service was decent.

We live in Queens and have had TW for years with almost no problems. When we did, Customer Service was very helpful and figured out the problem quickly. I think it depends where you live because some people will tell you they are the worst.

If it's available in your building, get FiOS, otherwise TWC will be fine.

Usually in Queens, your choices are Time Warner and RCN if that. Very little of Queens has FIOS.

It took Hurricane Sandy for my building to get wired. The complex still might not have Fios today had that hurricane not happened.

I have heard this advice as well. I don't have the FiOS option but others in my neighborhood in Queens do. TWC has been relatively ok for me, but I know many people who hate their service.
