Sure, a bargain considering a measly nine other cities--out of all the others on this EARTH--are more expensive.

Ridiculous. Where does the number come from? $1,000/SF is only attained in a very small part of Brooklyn, and Manhattan below 96th Street (and not all of Manhattan below 96th Street).

So in Moscow, my assumption is we are talking about the city center that attains $1,000/SF. Go a mile out and you could be at $200/SF.

I've had a feeling that the city of Australia was crazy expensive. This confirms it.

This has very much to do with currency valuations as the list is based on USD$.

The list says that's only true of Beijing. I'd believe it; China's real estate bubble is insane. I'm surprised by Moscow at #2, though.

Singapore is both a city and a country that are coterminous with one another. You're right about "Australia", though--I guess they meant Sydney?
