Paul Mooney is a blatant racist and his whole comedic sthick is based on being an overt racist.
He is a participant in this film.
Are you still going to deny that the film is promoting racism?
Yup. The movie is about history of white supremacy's impact on Blacks in America from colonial times up to right now. This is our collective reality in this country. Sorry if it hurts your feelings, but let me tell you that WAAYY more that our feelings have been hurt. If you don't like then simply don't watch it. I was directing the post to Black people and I take that your not Black in the first place.
Are you still going to deny that the film is promoting racism?
Correction. None of the films are promoting racism, even setting aside the sad fact that few people have even begun to think through what this might be in 2014 as opposed to, say, in 1960. Currently this is a major challenge for most people, black and white. As the beneficiaries of this predatory culture reap yet more rewards given the diversions offered.
They are promoting "feel good" history, which does little to promote change in real life, and stands (because it stands ?) in a dialectical relationship to any greater racism in the dominant culture - for anyone who might have a clue what that means or care. It isn't rocket science, after all.
