Looking to move to the NYC

I am an AA lesbian (early 40's) vegetarian headed toward veganism looking to relocate to the Boston area. I am a LPN in school to become an RN.
1. What areas are lesbian friendly?
2. What are the salaries for LPN's? RN's?
3. What should I expect to pay for a safe quiet apartment? What area?
4. What is the dating scene like for someone my age?
5. What about vegetarian/vegan set?

I am so looking to relocate to a more liberal environment........
