My taxes are too high for stuff like this to be happening in the safest Big City in america. Why do they keep churning out new cops all the time? I know they want to replace the ones that are leaving, but maybe we dont need that many cops to begin with if all they do is this.

I know some cops are going to come back and say we dont fully know the story, and we cannot judge based on that vid. But I doubt there is any info that will justify what just happened. The cops did not even try to verbally reason with perp or anything, or get him to calm down. Those cops also look really young. Was this all just some training exercise except everyone but the perp knew about?

Oh yeah, he looks like the totally innocent type of guy. The cops just pulled up and did it to him for no reason at all...just for the heck of it.

if the cops want to arrest you there is nothing you can do to stop them.. you can't talk your way out of it, you can't wrestle you way out of it, etc. This dude should have kept his mouth shut and allowed the cops to arrest him. The only statement that he should say when he gets to the precinct is "I WANT A LAWYER."

Sickening.

He was already on the ground, obviously in great discomfort and they don't let up. You could hear his cries getting fainter and fainter, that's the saddest part.

Taxpayers will foot the bill of massive lawsuits.
Cop will be dismissed likely with absolutely no personal charges for his negligence.

Just as Bloomberg let them frisk people without a legal right- and taxpayers footed the bill.

NYPD takes no personal responsibility for their screw ups.

Not like he hasn't been arrested before. He has a couple of pending cases for the same minor charge. Why resist & try to fight the police now?
His family will get a lot more from the settlement, than he ever provided while alive.

EDIT to remove a comment that will probably get me banned.

But seriously, what is wrong with some of you.

Cops should be charged with depraved indifference murder and go away for many, many years.

For doing their job?

How about if that tub of lard obeyed the officers? Guess where he comes from that would bring too much Shame of the Hood onto him. He has to act tough.

Yes, the cops are at fault but the dude should have known his role. You can't fight with the cops.. it will never end up well for you. When you are getting arrested go in peace and keep your mouth shut. The only words that you know is "I WANT A LAWYER!"
