Hey all,

My wife found a job at Jacobi Medical and we're looking to move into the neighborhood from long island to make her commute easier. We are looking at Morris park - indian village area. Visited a couple weeks ago with our 5 yr old daughter and really like the clean quiet tree lined streets. First time we visited and was amazed how nice it is.

One concern we have is that I'm a dentist, and would prefer to start/acquire an office in the area if we move. As with all NY communities it looks like the area has it's own established dentists. Does anyone know if the population in the area is growing and would accommodate another dentist? What are the demographics like in the area? What kind of professions do the residents have?

Also kind of specific, but anyone suggest any locations that may be good for a dentist or any older dentists in the area looking to retire??

Thanks in advance!

Charles

that whole area from Allerton down to Van Nest seems to be a hotbed for all kinds of medical providers with shingles attached to the homes advertising a dental or medical practice. I pass Indian Village every other day and those homes are beautiful

Exactly where you are is a good place, because Medical Practice is in abundance and while I don't know if residential population will increase, business will increase with the coming of the Metro North train line from New Haven to Penn Station to the area with a Morris Park station. So looking in Morris Park's Hutchinson Metro Center will be a good idea for a dentistry.
