nyc - where to live...
hi
i'll be moving to new york for a couple of years, will need to commute to work to white plains but still would like to live in manhattan to benefit having a social life. what are your thoughts on choosing to live somewhere in upper west side / morningside heights, keeping a car and using that to commute and then moving downtown at night versus selling my car and going towards chelsea or east village or closer to grand central (probably in a a smaller place)? of course there's pros & cons as in everything in life, but would be helpful to hear from people that already had to make these kind of choices
