The locations are totally random though. My particular block at times could be quite annoying with loud music and loud conversations. This is due to the fact there are 4 buildings with low quality tenants. Same 4 buildings, always.
Ha! Yes you did!!! I agree, when speaking of noise it is totally block by block. For the most part my area is OK, it's just one or 2 people with the loud music and luckily they don't do it too for too long. Sometimes people have parties and the music can be loud but the parties are not rowdy so I dont mind. In general I like that people are out and about, kids play in the streets. Like I said by me it's a lot of families and the liveliness is nice. People know who each other are.

When I did all the math it would have cost us about the same amount when add in all the fees and expenses.

People generally wrinkle their noses at Cypress Hills due to it's location. It's in 'terrible and disgusting' eastern Brooklyn. It's not all that terrible as believed. I'd say it's 2-3 notches higher in comparison to ENY proper or Brownsville. I'd even say even Bushwick is a notch or 2 higher in ghettoness compared to Cypress Hills, regardless of gentrification ongoing there.

As I said before, on my particular street if these tenants who occupy 3-4 rows-houses are replaced, the quality of life will instantly increase. LOL

I actually find Cypress Hills to be better than most of Bed-Stuy and Bushwick for that matter. It is really just south of Atlantic ave that brings down peoples opinion on Cypress Hills. That's where all the PJs are. Also Bushwick and Bed-Stuy both have many more PJs than Cypress Hills and City Line.

Still, its nowhere near Bay Ridge in terms of QOL.

Agreed. We can't compare Bay Ridge to Cypress Hills. I recall reading an old thread here (maybe a 7 to 8 year old thread) about someone who moved into the area and was walking around. He eventually decided to cross Atlantic ave and walked 3 blocks in and retreated back north. LOL!

There really aren't any PJ's in Cypress Hills, remember Cypress Hills Houses is south of Sutter Ave in ENY proper.

My definition of City Line is south of Atlantic Ave, and north of the Conduit, making it a small triangular shaped neighborhood. I think "The Hole" is entirely it's own area or sub neighborhood, very different feel and character. Some include The Hole as part of City Line along with Linden Plaza.

Recently however we have new comers into Cypress Hills, I'm not talking the few spotted Hipsters here and there but people who are native NYers who originated from better neighborhoods. I'm seeing Poles around lately too, I assuming relocated from Greenpoint. Fora member 'bbf726' who purchased in Cypress Hills came from those better neighborhoods to the north.

I use to live on Forbell! Being that City Line is a small neighborhood, it's eastern portion near Ozone Park is better than it's western Portion near Transit Tech. City Line of today has strong south Asian influences. It's also the better looking half.

Here is some of City Line (east) - Google updated the images with higher resolution too!

Forbell - https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6798...1XvhHP-aTw!2e0

I grew up on Lincoln between Liberty and Mckinley. Even when I moved to Ozone Park I always went to the church on Mckinly and Elderts. I woukd say the blocks closer to Ozone Park from Lincoln to Drew were the better blocks whereas Autumn to Euclid were a lot worse.
