This is 1 part of Far Rock I never liked walking around. Pretty hood over here. Those buildings are not NYCHA, even though they kinda look like them.

It looks like a spot where you can find yourself walking by a loitering group knuckleheads who got nothing to do but hang out in front of those stores. LOL

My parents always like going to the beach in the "Jewish" section of Far Rockaway. I don't know why.

I thought I was on Seagirt when I saw the largest one but can't find it on Google maps. But here are a few other examples

That building (the original one before rennovation) was part of a Y and also a day camp.

They say it's because it's quiet, but so is the beach past B116, which is a lot closer to us.

Back to Arverne-by-the-Sea.
Those who live there - are you happy with your choice?

The Orthodox have one less place to hide their gum in a sand storm.

If you buy the two family one and rent out the larger unit it can help pay for unit. But 650K is overpriced for area considering on mls there are some decent deals on condos and coops nearby at a lot less

My Husband & I are looking into buying a home in Arverne by the Sea closer to B 62nd street...

Questions..

1) current residents, how are you enjoying life at Arverne by the Sea. Do you see/hear of violence of any sort more so then other neighborhoods you've lived in... Are you happy with your decision to move there?

2). Non-residents of Arverne by the sea, but residents of Arverne, over the past few years of development to you really see Arverne as "up and coming?"

3) families of Arverne, is it a place I want to raise my son.

Thank you !
