You could also ask, "Where are the threads from drivers defending the practice of hitting and killing pedestrians?" as we're seeing from bicyclists here.

That is two weeks or so of "intense" presence to show the public and media they are *doing* something, then soon as the heat dies down......

The show of presence lol. It's just that, a show. Nothing of substance behind it. Any idiot could see that.

You are basically echoing Transportation Alternatives line.

What about them? That just doesn't cut it. Clean up your own act.

How many of them were killed inside of city parks? Most of the pedestrians and cyclists are killed because they are doing something stupid like jaywalking or standing in the roadway or riding bikes recklessly in inappropriate places.

I hope the family of this poor woman utterly destroys this subhuman's life. Better yet, hopefully she has a relation who knows what needs to be done and takes care of business.

Lock him up. He was in the wrong lane, and didnt yield. Shame he tries to justify that he had a green light and yelled at her. Interested to hear from his lawyers.

What police need to do as well is crack down on Jaywalkers who want to cross against their light then wonder why they get hit by cars and bikes. If its not your light then stay on the curb until its safe for you to cross.

Well if he did have a green light and she was in the street, then technically she was jaywalking. No? Its a terrible situation and I feel bad for the family but if she crossed against the light then she bares blame as well. You cant expect every single car or bike to slam on their brakes every time a pedestrian decides they want to jaywalk.
