I would think that the Mandarin Oriental is located and designed ideally for viewing the city.

But which NYC or NJ hotels in your opinion offer the most breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline overall?

The Hyatt Regency in DownTown Jersey City, or The Days Inn in LIC on Queens BLVD and Van Dame. I think you would be able to see the skyline from that big Marriott in Teaneck NJ.

Millennium UN Plaza has a stunning view of Midtown East. Also, Trump Soho and many Long Island City hotels like Z Hotel.

I noticed the pics from the Hyatt Regency have an amazing vantage point. The top floor could be a little higher though.
