I read through all the articles attached to that one. What I would really like to know is the breakdown of the numbers. Yeah there were over 92,000 applications for 924 apartments. What I'm interested in is how much of that was for mid income, how much for low income AND how much for all the categories within (1,2,3,4,... people in a household and disability as well). You could have 70,000 of those applications for mid-income 1-2 people for a one bedroom. That would change the odds for all the rest, etc.
I saw that to. You sure are on Top of it. All I know is, a lot of people with bad credit will be crying and a lot of hearts will be broken. It's gonna be an utter mess. The whole application process will be a mess. Take it from someone who's building only had 108 to full and that took 1 year. Now imagine how many years 924 units will take.
[SIZE=5]q41apartments[/SIZE] That's why once people move into these place they stay until they die. Because it's a great deal (for the low income units) that you will never do any better. So I get the impression that you are running under the thinking that they will have a list of 4,000 or 5,000 people and then they will eliminate people thru the application process until they get the 1st 924 that qualify. That would take forever.
It's going to take forever unless the 1st wave of people all meet the requirements and have impeccable everything. The 1st wave needs to have all their ducks in a row. If not, it'll drag on for years. There's no reason why after 1 year, the Q41 building still has empty unfilled units.
The low income one is a total bargain, but I'd rather not be in that building because I can imagine the deviants and cast of characters in that building. I'd rather be in the middle income one where everyone will be on the same level financially. The low income one only has cheap rent going for it. I can just picture someone in a studio letting 5 friends move in afterwards and ruining the place. There's always going to be somebody with baby daddy drama and she's going to keep letting Tyrone come back and use her when he's drunk and so on. Not what anyone wants. Plus, I'm sure they won't do any touch ups or maintenance work once the tenant moved in.

I doubt the information is publicly available (otherwise it would get media attention as this is one of the most desirable locations). You can come up with a rough estimate by backing into it through the list of available units at each category.
