Does anyone know if there is a class to take in order to prep for this test?

There is no class. You really don't need anything to study. The test is all common sense.

I repeat-

Useless job that is being replaced by cameras and pay-by-mail citations.

Remove the collectors and reduce the tolls. This job is obsolete.

WHY are we hiring people for an absolutely useless position.
Tax the city residents gather the cash and throw it in the river, same effect.

I could be wrong here but I believe they've empowered these employees post 9-11 to act as counter terrorism policing at NYC bridges and tunnels. Collecting tolls and writing citations is what they do day to day, but I've heard it's basically to police the crossings for susipicious behavior or terrorist threats. I could be wrong though, I was told this is why they were given full carry rights.

You will have to wait for the slips about 2 weeks before the exam. The slips should be shipping soon.

Received my exam notice today. Excited for the exam and opportunity, salary/benefits wise sounds like a solid start. Could always move on to something bigger and better but graduating college in early 20's this would be a solid place to start. I saw some people badmouth this job and 1 who offered his experience. Overall anyone else care to describe the job day to day or offer some thoughts??

good luck those who will take the test.
