Default Moving to NYC from Atlanta

I'm about to move to NYC from Atlanta in May. I am a new grad from Chiropractic school and am coming up in April to check out jobs and apartments. I am trying to figure out what my best options are, either brooklyn or the city. My ultimate goal is to atleast work in the city, but I wanted to know if it is better to live and work in the same place. I also need to know where the best place to look for a job as a Chiropractor would be (uptown, downtown, brooklyn etc.) I have found many positions available in both the city and brooklyn. Any help that anyone could give me would be great. I am planning on renting a room as I will be starting out at about $60K so again any input on any of this would be really helpful. Thank you!

Hey there. I don't know an answer to your question in reference to a chiropractic position. My advice would be to check out monster.com or yahoo jobs.
In reference to where you should live, on that budget, is most likely Brooklyn or Queens. You may want to look at New Jersey as well--neighborhoods/cities like Jersey City, Hoboken, etc. I'd recommend Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Downtown Brooklyn, and Bushwick in Brooklyn--there are roommate situations that are abundant costing you anywhere from $600-$1000 per month to "room-up" with someone. Check out Sunnyside, Astoria, and Long Island City in Queens.

Thank you for your help. I actually don't need to know where to find a job like a website or something, I have found tons of jobs but i don't know which one to take. I meant lke should I work uptown, downtown, brooklyn etc. And also is it really bad if i were to live in brooklyn and commute to the city every day or should I work in the same borough that I live? Thanks again for the info you already gave me
