NYPD to Curb Low-Level Marijuana Arrests - NY1

Good policy and shows some restraint. Kudos to Bratton and NYPD brass.

This is BS. They are going back in time but charging you for it. Back in the day if you saw a cop coming you just cupped th doob behind your back out of respect. Everything was cool.

When Ghouliani and Doomsberg were in control they took stiffer measures.

Now instead of arresting you and costing the city money they charge YOU and you help increase city revenue.

From me to the city EEEFFF YOU.

Better late than never, although our weed policy set nyc back in a lot of ways.

We are headed in right direction. Unfortunately our governor is so afraid to take a position on anything because he is so concerned with his national image.

Marijuana needs to be legalized outright since this prohibition we are under doesn't protect anyone and in fact does great harm. Since the states that have legalized pot haven't collapsed into anarchy I think there is a growing realization that our laws are ridiculous.
