If I ever have kids, I'm immediately leaving the city. Schools are already awful to begin with and probably worse then they were when I attended them.

Have you seen Queens over the past 30 to 40 some odd years? I doubt I'll be noticing any bit of an increase or change as a result. In my school district the city should have been cognitive to this decades ago. Why now? We already have the most overcrowded schools in the city and all they want to do is keep adding to the problem. I got an idea, build more schools instead of homeless shelters. Heck, if you build more schools you can go ahead with the shelters as well. Some more public transportation would be nice as well, but the city only likes catering to the super rich and the super poor forgetting that most live in between.
