We have everything.

Macys, Barneys, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman, et al!

And that's not including places like Cartier, Brioni, Bulgari, Ferragamo, et al on 5th!

And we are getting a Nordstrom in 2018. Neiman Marcus is opening its first Manhattan store within the next 3-5 years, as well!

Retailers recognize that this is the world capital!

And oh, yeah, we have FAO Schwarz, Toys R Us, and are in the process of getting a Hamleys!

And we have M&Ms World, The Disney Store, and The Hershey's Store!

Only in the world capital!

It seemed like all the savages were out ruining it for people who have proper etiquette.

It is a lot better than I'm used to for sure. I really like that clothes are untaxed. That being said, I didn't actually shop; I was stuck in plane travel until 3p!

ONLINE SHOPPING is the MECCA of shopping IMO. NYC can't compete . I find that most stores stock the same items with limited choices,,,not so online where the sky is the limit.

I hardly every buy anything besides cologne in NYC.

It depends what you are into :

Shoes - Zappos.com wins hands down

Clothing - I wear Carhartt Carhartt Clothing and Carhartt Workwear at Dungarees

Essentials - Walmart.com- GOD BLESS WALMART. I haven't shopped at a Duane Greed for over 10 years now.

Ebay for WHATEVER you need.

If you take away Saks Bloomies and Macy's shopping in NYC is no better than going to your local "all in one' mall...coach nike addidas urban outfitters....etc. All the typical crap you can find in the heartland is right here. Better to buy online and avoid tax.....and flakey sales staff.

People are brainwashed that NYC has everything. It really doesn't.

* What used to separate NYC from other cities were the numerous mom and pop shops that stocked their shelves according to personal tastes not on orders from corporate HQ's
