How do you guys feel about dog fighting and c*ck-fighting. Are you concerned about the jobs lost by banning these "sports?"

As for the lazy tourists...let then rent Citibikes if they want a jaunt through the park.

Thus, using that same logic, I'd argue that he can't support one ban for the reasons he does while excluding other uses of horses.
Where's their proof that the horses are being treated inhumanely, whether it be for horse carriage rides around Central Park, movie shoots, or parades? Are they visiting stables and videotaping the conditions? Or are you just going off of hearsay?

If they were treating the horses inhumanely (i.e. not feeding them adequately or cleaning them), I can't see how physically fit the horses would be to take people on horse carriage rides all day long, effectively the carriage owners would be taking money out of their own mouth. That makes no sense. It's not about being confrontational, I'm voicing my opinion on the things that you are saying - which has no logic to it whatsoever.

This seems like a really crappy issue to impose on the public, especially since it looks like a payback for votes.
