Involved in a minor accident. Not my fault but was
The car that bumped from behind. No damage/minor damage and no injuries. Numbers exchanged but no cops called.
Is it possible that the cop can later provide ticket with any charge like reckless driving when
I had called them to file the police report? Did calling to teport the
Incident amount to admission of mistake ? So scared!!

saying you were not responsible for the accident carrys no more weight than saying you did in a police report. you talk ,they write.

unless both sides report the same story to the insurer it means little.

How can the accident not be your fault when you were "the car that bumped from behind ? "
Sounds like you ran into someone, someone didn't run into you. The most obvious conclusion is that you were driving too closely and /or moving too fast to stop in time or that you were distratced(texting, looking at phone ?) or all of the above…. unless you can prove that the brake lights were not working on the car you ran into.

The car had problems changing gears where it accelerated quickly.it was bumper to bumper traffic.
And i can prove that but thats not my main question.
What i am asking is.... If there were no cops called at that time, and i havent yet
Filed a police report yet. I understand from this situation from insurance persepctive but i am more
Concerned about ticket or points.
But did i make a mistake in calling them after the fact?
Can they send me a ticket of any type just for being involved in it ? Now that i have called them ?

If it wasn't your fault then your insurance won't go up

i understand. i am not asking about insurance.
i am asking if the cops will give me a ticket now, based on my call to them after the fact.

to summarize,
damage was minimal/no damage and cops were not called.
I called them asking for next steps. Can they issue me ticket now based on my phone call?
comon guys.. anyone?

That's untrue. Premiums go up (even if slightly) whenever there is a claim with you involved.
