Anyone know how the area is? My doctor's office is in that area and most likely I'll be taking the 6. Should I get off at 96th street and walk west and up or get off at the 103rd stop. I tried doing a search in case there's already an existing thread about this & came up with nothing. Thx in advance.

You can get off at 96th and walk over to Madison Avenue, then walk up. If you get off at 103rd Street you basically have to walk through the projects. If you get off at 96th at least you can walk on the Mt. Sinai side of Madison Avenue, which is no problem.

I work nearby and I walk across those projects all the time from Park to Madison in the day time, it is very quiet and fine to walk across, so if you do get off at 103rd, it is no problem walking across there.

I agree--no issue walking from the 103rd St. stop and it's a long walk from 96th and Lex.

It's fine. I ended up in that area when I had a doctor affiliated with Sinai. In fact, some gorgeous houses around there.
