I've been to many cities in the US and a few in Europe. There is no place that feels anything like NYC. Not even close. (when I say that, I mean Manhattan)
^ obviously nothing feels like manhattan in terms of sheer size of buildings, crowdedness, congestion, etc. But I mean more of the people, culture, accent, etc. Which of the suburbs has the most new york flavor to it
every day before work i go to a little bagel shop and Starbucks to pick up Breakfast in Bronxville
this is right next to the Metro North station so the bagel shop and Starbucks has mostly commuters going to pick up breakfast before getting on the train
the atmosphere reminds me very much of E midtown or the financial district what with all the well groomed/well dressed executives
tho Bronxville is obviously suburban, the downtown village area has a Manhattan vibe to it
They're right next to each other, how do you figure they are not the same area? They even have a bike path connecting the two.
Go for a walk around them and you'll quickly find they're not very comparable. JC definitely has some rough spots, but on the whole it's a huge step up from Newark. I'd group JC in with Hoboken before Newark.
