Keep the good times the rolling! The cops of the NYPD have never had a richer Christmas.

They are waiting on you to create that march. So create it!

They aren't my thug buddies. They are being dumped out of Manhattan where I live to certain parts of Queens (your neck of the woods). Do enjoy the effects they have on Glendale and Elmhurst (new shelter on Queens Blvd). So glad they are doing slum clearance in Manhattan.

Btw, the Asians in Elmhurst did protest against these new shelters, but it didn't do that much good. But don't worry, there's more to come as more rent stabilized united in Manhattan get renovated or torn down, and as the city sells more NYCHA projects in Manhattan.

Fortunately Jackson Heights (lived there when I was born in Elmhurst) is gentrifying quite nicely and there's no suitable building (busted up hotel) to be turned into a shelter (and the community residence there because of the co-ops and the garden apartments would be powerful enough to block such nonsense).

But as certain parts of Queens not on main transportation lines get more Manhattan dumpees, don't worry, you'll have plenty of opportunity to come across stop and frisk marchers.

For the record, I don't do thug buddies. I'm an Ivy League graduate living in Manhattan. You're immigrant working class in a fringe part of Queens. Know your place!

From what I've heard, Serpico had a rep for being heavy-handed during his arrests. Of course, when he wrote the story of his life, that aspect was mostly overlooked. These days, he'd be facing lots of Internal Affairs complaints & lawsuits. If any incidents had been videod, he would be 'modified' and sitting behind a desk.

The same topic came up in another thread recently. Serpico would absolutely not be considered the "hero" he is today if his career was more recent. The cops of today are overall thousands of times less "corrupt" than he was then, they are simply being judged under a different microscope. Physical force that Serpico definitely used routinely would be ratted out by the majority of NYPD cops in a heartbeat nowadays, no matter what narrative the media continously paints.

Boy you really put me in my place. I'll just stay quiet here in the slums while you wine and dine on my dollar in Manhattan. Maybe one day I'll move back to Manhattan, but probably not until retirement. For now all that I can hope for is to be movin' on up to Jackson Heights. No thank you, JH just doesn't have the transportation options I need. Its too far out there.

I have a great idea for a tee shirt for those cops. It would read, "I can't breath, because I have so many dollar bills stuffed in my jacket pockets".

You do realize he lives in East Harlem, one of the worst ghettos in the whole city, right?
