They review a ton of clubs there....as far as New York it probably depends on your scene, but they have countless venues for nightlife. The glitzy Paris Hilton-types probably spend a lot of time in the club district in and around the Chelsea area I'm guessing, and perhaps down near Union Square as well. I'm not even from New York (I'm from Chicago), but I do know that Chelsea overall probably has the most "exclusive" clubs. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for.
Hi, i was wondering what few clubs are really for 1st timers in NYC? I would like a mixed crowd with mostly hip hop/some 80's musics. can you please name me a few that you've been to and thought it was great?
The big clubs are concentrated in West Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, although there are others scattered around elsewhere. Pacha, Mansion, Home, Cain are among the notables. There are smaller, cheaper clubs in the E Vil and LES. On Friday and Saturday nights it can be a drag trying to get into some of them unless you're beautiful. But yeah, check yelp, clubplanet, citysearch, or any of those websites.
