I really don't get it. A mentally ill black guy kills two cops and somehow it's Deblasio's fault, all because he allowed people to protest against police brutality.
Because he is supposed to be the mayor. Its a job that comes with responsibility and accountability.
Do non mentally ill people kill others? At least when it is not in self defense?
"So the racial injustice of our criminal system-- from policing to arrest to trial to conviction to sentencing to incarceration & execution-- is now to the point where if you tell your kids about it, you will be accused of inciting violence against the NYPD? Seriously, that's Kelly's argument? God how twisted the issue of race is in America. How demented the right is when they can use the bias of the justice system as a weapon to attack the victims of that bias.
The death of Ramos & Liu is a tragedy. To say that the tragedy is the fault of the mayor, for not approving of Stop & Frisk? Or the President? Come on now, you guys aren't really even trying, you're just looking for any black guy & trying to pin this on them. "De Blasio's son is dark skinned, so obviously de Blasio hate police, because..." Go on, finish that thought, because why? "Obama, he hates the police, it's because..." Uh-huh, continue! "Where is Al Sharpton!" Ah, see, I'm starting to see a pattern!
The dialogue in America has gotten warped to insane levels. You have to both believe that there is no racial imbalance, all the stats on police stops, or arrests, or charges levied or conviction or sentencing are just....uh, just ignore them. You also have to believe that if anybody brings up those facts, that they are a the real racist...& now you want to additionally lay on the charge that they are inciting violence against the police?
So if I'm, say, upset that the police killed Akai Gurley, an unarmed & innocent man, without warning, or if I say that the death of a 12 year old boy without warning in an open carry state for the crime of having a toy gun...or the same about an adult man with a toy gun executed by police without warning (& judged by the grand jury to not require a trial) or that Eric Garner was on film pleading that he can't breathe as he's choked to death or whatever, is that me rabble-rousing by pointing out things that actually happened?
Sorry, no dice. This whole "let's silence dissent by slandering our opponents as cop killer lovers" thing is shameful. It's no surprise at the people dragging it out. You want to see who doesn't care about cop's lives? Watch these goons use the death of police officers like trading cards, like a political football. The ghoulish glee of the conservatives over these deaths is disgusting."
