Ah you're not alone. I get a little nervous around them to just because I don't want the hassle of 20 questions and I have A Sergeants PBA card and my own federal credentials on me at all times.

Are you one of those self loathing Blacks? Not all of your kind is a criminal you do understand this right?

So, you speak for all Blacks? You're here proselytizing and lamenting about criminal Blacks when you're likely the criminal yourself.
I have no criminal record and I am am Ivy League graduate, so come again.

I never said all Blacks are criminal, however as a Black man I have no sympathy for criminals (regardless of race) and I support the police who clean up the city and keep our streets safe.

As for hating myself, I love myself more than anything else in the world. So come again my friend.

I don't speak for all Blacks, but I am pointing out we don't all have problems with the police and we don't all live in fear of the police just because your friends or whoever you're talking to or getting your information from do. You've made massive generalizations here, and that is as racist as assuming all Blacks are criminals.

Thank you. With every profession there's bound to be somebody who does not do their job well. That's understood. The difference is dealing with the police it can cost you a weekend in Central Booking because they did not do their job well. Who wants to go through that.

I agree with you 100%. No one wants to go spend a weekend in central booking and THAT'S why Eric Garner went buck wild the day he resisted arrest. He knew he was spending a hot July weekend in the tombs because of his open cases for the same crime as well as his previous record.

I don't want to make this another Garner thread, but I had to make the point.

Speak your mind man.

Don't worry about what the thread will evolve into. As New Yorkers this is what we're dealing with now and its very much relevant. You're in Staten Island I'm in Queens. But we're still one city.

I scored an awesome picture of a Grant/Garner/Brown and "reefa" mural on Stanton just off of Essex tonight. Can't post it as my huge smile would anger too many people.

Grant should not have been included FYI. He wasn't a perp.

And you should get a little nervous. They are not your friends and family. They are cops. Their job entails dealing with scum everyday in places where scum most certainly exist. So if you hang out in scummy areas like where our mod does, expect to be treated like scum every now and then. You have the choice to distance yourself from where the scum is, and chances are you'll get harassed less often.

Haha. Basically they can behave however they want is what you're saying. I'll remember that.
