Nothing to do with Deblasio. Just a criminal acting like a ****ty criminal. Nothing mind boggling about this.

A lot more NYPD officers are going to get shot, and possibly even killed. I hope it doesn't happen, but it most likely will.

Final few weeks not "Last Week".

The NYPD data showed a 55 percent spike in homicides during the final weeks of 2014, which were marked by turmoil including anti-cop protests in the wake of the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases that boiled over with the assassination of two officers on patrol.
A total of 31 people were slain between Dec. 8 and Sunday, compared with 20 people killed during the same time period a year earlier.
In addition, the city tallied 102 shooting victims during the 28-day period, up 13 percent from the 90 people who shot in the previous year’s period.
The alarming numbers came despite an overall drop in homicides for 2014 to a record low of 332.

As of now it was the difference between 20 to 31 people. Not taking away from the families of those 11. Do the numbers continue to rise? What does the warmer months bring? Criminals are very resilient folks. Will they start to realize that they can start to carry a weapon without fear of a stop. Let's sit back and watch the Mayor Wilhelm Cinema.

Oh, I thought you were connecting it to the slowdown, which only affected the last week.

Absolutely not. According to people like you, it was the evil NYPD and other police departments full of evil racist cops that had nothing to do but oppress non whites who were always innocent victims.

Now these last two shootings (one from a lunatic and the other from robbers) have severely challenged that narrative.

The incident on NYE on Ludlow Street is a perfect example. Back 20 years ago, not of those pansies would have dared step foot on Ludlow at 3 am. Now they think they own it. Why? Because rough men and women went into battle daily with the crack heads, dealers, pimps, and robbers who previously ruled the area. Now these savages chant for dead cops. Without those same cops, natural selection would have weeded these jokers out of the gene pool a long time ago.
Don't forget the black fool protestors whose likelihood of being shot by one of their own has steadily decreased because rough men work the streets taking illegal guns out of circulation.

Dennis Brown"The way things are as of right now if a PO slips on a banana peel and break his ankle cries of "Blood is on DeBlasio's hands" will ring out ".

No doubt , it's the Lynch mob, blindly parroting their chief union goon. I suspect many cops will blame a bad burger at lunch on the mayor. Instead of a professional force, it's like watching 32,000 overreacting Barney Fifes.

...meanwhile the tale going on in de Blasio's other city are privileged protesters with black guilt (and probably just as many with white guilt) go from swanky restaurant to swanky restaurant in Manhattan having a good old time, knowing very well that neither them nor their kids are in no threat whatsoever by the police.
